How To Enjoy SFU Study Spots

Welcome to SFU Study Spots! This website was designed to help students find their desired study spot at SFU. All you need to do is apply your desired requirements in our “Study Spot Filter” below.

If you want to look at study spots only on a particular campus, you can click and choose “Select Location.” Right now, we have saved study spots for the Burnaby and Surrey campuses.

You can also type in keywords such as “quiet” to get specific study spots. The results are based on study spot descriptions, so we included relevant keywords in each description to help you get your best results.

However, there are times when it’s hard to even think of keywords. That’s why we developed a special feature. By selecting the “Study Spot Filter” under “Select Category,” you can view and select from a range of criteria we developed, all based on actual insights gathered from interviews with students around us.

You don’t have to select all of them; just select the ones that are most important to you! For example, let’s say I’m a student who doesn’t like crowded, loud study spots, and everything else is alright. Then I can just select the “silent” and “low crowdedness” sections and press the search bar.

You can also select multiple options for some of our criteria. Just one of our systems to make your life better.

And there you go! You have found your perfect study spot. You can always start over by clicking the “Reset” button.

You can also add your favorite spots by saving them to your favorites page. Note that you will need to create an account and log in. You can view your saved spots in the “Favorite Listings ” page by accessing it through the header.

You can also leave your own reviews of each study spot. You don’t even have to log in; just your name and email are required. You can also give each spot its own star ratings.
